Nominees will be contacted by our board prior the Annual Meeting in November to confirm their nomination acceptance. Then we will vote in new Board members at the Annual Membership Meeting in November at the annual conference.
If you are interested, we encourage you to review the descriptions for each board position and consider your ability to be involved on the board, as a regional leader, or as a committee member. Ideal candidates are those who have been a farmers market manager and/or have worked with farmers markets and have general knowledge of the challenges farmers markets and managers face growing and sustaining their markets. Working on the VAFMA Board is a rewarding effort, but one that takes passion, patience, and perseverance. If one of these positions is calling for you, please let us know!!
