Market Management 201 Program
After 7 years of hosting the successful Market Manager Certification 101 Program (MMC 101), the Virginia Farmers Market Association is adding a new series of more in depth “201” classes.
This program will be offered through Farmers Market University in November 2023 with all new topics based on the feedback we have received from participants who completed the 101 course. It is aimed at experienced market managers and people who have already taken the 101 course.
The sessions will be pre-recorded so you can watch them on your own schedule. There will also be live online group discussions scheduled to help participants meet and learn from each other.
The 201 program topics will include:
- Strategic Planning
- Farmers Markets and Community Health
- Public Relations
- SNAP/Virginia Fresh Match/Other Incentives
- End of Year Reporting
- Social Media
- Racial Justice
- Conflict Management
- Sponsorships
- Public Safety 201
- Online Markets
- Farmers Markets as Small Business Incubators
