Tyrone Cherry III

Tyrone Cherry III has been working for years providing education and space to learn about urban agriculture. From community gardens to farmers markets he has created several huge initiatives such as the Petersburg League of Urban Growers (P.L.U.G.), around connecting the community with local growers. In the capacity of market assistant for the local farmer’s market (River Street Market) and the mobile market (P.O.P. Market), Tyrone has learned to use social media as a way to inform, educate, celebrate, and communicate with the people of Petersburg and surrounding communities.
