Emily Flippo joined the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in December 2018 as a Project Manager in the Office of Agriculture & Forestry Development. Emily works to promote economic development in Virginia’s agriculture and forestry sectors by helping companies navigate local, state and federal business assistance resources, as well as industry-specific partnerships.

Emily graduated from Washington & Lee University in May of 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and English. Previously she has worked with Virginia’s Gateway Region Economic Development Organization, Virginia Museum of History & Culture and Virginia Living Magazine.
